The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy describes the aim of counselling as providing an opportunity for the person being counselled to work towards living in a more satisfying and resourceful way......

Imagine a single drop of water falling into a pool—rippling ever on... Such can be the effect of every event in our lives.

I am a qualified counsellor who views each person as a holistic being.  To live meaningfully, resourcefully and satisfyingly, each part of the whole being needs to be in balance.  I see our emotional and mental wellbeing as fundamental aspects of living a life of wholeness and greater awareness.

I work in a holistic and integrated way with a Gestalt reference and often include the use of various other tools such as relaxation work, breathing, guided meditation and many others.  I am a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and work according to its code of ethics

Often choosing the right counsellor can be cause for anxiety in itself.  I therefore offer an initial assessment session in which we can explore together whether this style of counselling is suitable for you and whether we can work together.

My hope is that during our counselling relationship you will find warmth, understanding, challenge when required, creativity, hope and when needed, humour.
